Salary: $85,000 annually
Position Overview
The Senior Project Coordinator will lead the delivery of Métis-specific, community-based programming focused on family violence prevention and support for victims of crime, with a primary focus on Métis women, children, families, and 2SLGBTQI+ individuals across Saskatchewan.
This role is responsible for implementing culturally grounded, trauma-informed initiatives including cultural camps, healing circles, outreach, victim support, and community-based education in partnership with Elders, survivors, and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver cultural camps, workshops, and healing circles grounded in Indigenous knowledge and ceremony
Lead prevention outreach to raise awareness of family violence and promote healthy relationships
Coordinate trauma-informed supports, including referrals, system navigation, and access to services
Support delivery of victim services, including access to justice, mental health, and community resources
Facilitate community engagement with Elders, survivors, and local partners
Deliver education and advocacy workshops on rights, safety, and prevention
Support leadership development and mentoring for women, youth, and gender-diverse participants
Coordinate program logistics, tracking, and reporting
Qualifications
Experience delivering community-based programs in violence prevention, victim services, or Indigenous initiatives
Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, gender-based violence, and community-based supports
Experience working with Indigenous communities; Métis knowledge is a strong asset
Ability to work with Elders, cultural knowledge keepers, and diverse participants
Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills
Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and lived experience will be considered.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Saskatchewan
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
